Morning-Pride-logoThe Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department has chosen to go with Morning Pride to replace its expired Structural Firefighting Turn out Gear. Twelve (12) new sets of individually custom fitted gear (Coat and Pant Set) has been bought so far for members of the department. The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) states all Structural Firefighting Turn out Gear should be less than Ten (10) years old. This is just about the age that most firefighting gear starts to break down to the point where small holes and tears start appearing placing the Firefighter in harm’s way and risking serious injury. The Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department chose Morning Pride Tails because of its quality and ability to hold up for longer ………. The new Structural Firefighting Turn out Gear is equipped with more personal pockets for carrying hand tools and storing personal equipment needed such as gloves and eye protection. This gear also has upgraded striping for better Firefighter safety and visibility on the emergency scene. Oversize knee reinforcements with padded knees, radio pocket with microphone tab, wristlets with thumb-holes and Dyna-Fit suspenders are also standard on all new Hampton Structural Firefighting Turn out Gear.

CairnsJust like Structural Firefighting Turn out Gear the NFPA also states, Structural Firefighting Helmets should also be less than Ten (10) years old. The Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department, over the past Four (4) years has chosen to replace all its expired helmets with the same brand helmet we have been using for the past 13 years, the Cairns 1010 traditional fire helmet. In 2015 Chief Dan Kuny has chosen to upgrade the already superior 1010 to the Cairns 1010 Defender with Visor. This traditional fire helmet offers built in eye protection from dust, dirt, and grit. The Defenders visor stays clean inside the helmet until eye protection is needed during overhaul operation’s preventing damage to the visor do to extreme heat while fighting fires.
