Awards and Honors The membership votes for two awards to be presented at the annual Membership Dinner. The first is the "Firefighter Of The Year" award, which is given to the member who has shown outstanding performance over the past year. The second is the "Samuel L Grubbs" award, which is given to the member who has made a special contribution to the department. This award is named after a past chief and founding member of the department. <add link to history section> Here is a list of the awards, as far back as we have records (some records were lost in a flood and other accidents).
