Established in 1919 The Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department #1 is located at 2536 Duncan Avenue, just off State Route 8, at the southern end of the Township. Hampton Township is a Northern suburb of the City of Pittsburgh located approximately 6 miles north of the City along Rt. 8 and is both a mixture of business and residential properties. The Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department #1 is also known as Allegheny County Station 164. We are one of two fire departments that protect a daylight population of 24,000 and night time population 17,000 people living and working in an area of approximately 16.33 square miles. Station 164 is the assigned Rescue Company for Hampton Township. This Department responds to approximately 417 fire and rescue calls per year.
